저도 고등학교시절 처음 접하고 엄청나게 좋아했었습니다.
특히 리드싱어가

부분을 부를때는 정말 사랑스러운 여인과 함께
꽃길을 걷는것과 같은 기분이었습니다.
많은 사랑을 받는 노래인 만큼 기록도 많습니다.
첫번째는 최장기간의 녹음기록입니다.
당시 노래한곡 녹음하는데 하루나 이틀이면 충분했다고 합니다.
하지만 이노래는 8개월 걸렸다고 합니다.
따라서 돈도 엄청 들어 약 7만5천불이 소요됐다고 하는데
당시로서는 파격적인 금액이었던 모양입니다.
이 노래 특징중 하나는 Electro-Theremin이라고 불리우는
진공관소리를 집어넣을 것입니다.

노래를 만든 동기는 Brian Wilson이 엄마로 부터 들은 얘기가 시작이었다고 합니다.
한날 그의 어머니가 개(Dog)는 적이나 좋아하지 않는 사람을 만나면
"Bad Vibrations"를 느낀다는 얘기를 해주었다고 합니다.
그래서 브라이언이 거기서 힌트를 얻어 사랑하는 사람을 만나면 Good Vibration을 느끼게
될것이라고 생각해 만든 노래라고 합니다.
이 노래는 발표된지 사흘만에 24만장이 팔렸다고 하는데
이는 당시로서 경이적인 기록이었답니다.
때문에 이노래가 비치보이스의 첫 밀리언셀러 싱글입니다.
