관계부사 "why와 how"는 앞에 포스팅한 "where, when"과 약간의 차이가 있습니다.
"where, when"는 명사와 부사 (there, then)를 이어주었지만
"why와 how"는 명사와 부사구를 이어줍니다.

먼저 "why"를 보시겠습니다.

예문에서 눈치 채셨듯인 관계부사 "why"의 선행사는 "the reason"뿐입니다.
따라서 모든 문장에서 "the reason"는 생략됩니다.
아니면 "why"를 생략할수 있습니다.
따라서 "why"는 "선행사와 관계대명사"가 혼합된 "what"과 같은 성질을 가졌다고 보시면 됩니다.

왠일인지 캐나다나 미국에서는 "how"를 관계부사에 넣지 않습니다.
하지만 학국에서는 넣을뿐 아니라 형식이나 쓰이는 방법이 다른 "관계부사"들과
별반 차이가 없어 이곳에 올리겠습니다.
This is the way how he fixed my problem. (이게 그가 내문제를 해결한 방법이다)
This is the way. (the way: 명사) (이게 그 방법이다)
He fixed my problem that way. (that way: 부사) (그는 그런식으로 내 문제를 해결했다)
Could you tell me the way how I get there? (어떻게 그곳에 갈수 있는지 얘기해 주시겠어요?)

옳바른 문장이 되기 위해서는 "the way"나 "how" 중 하나가 없어져야 합니다.
