노래의 탄생은,

그가 어떤 공연에서 준비한 곡을 다 부르고 난 뒤에도 여전히

즉 그가 공연시간을 채워야 하기때문에 함께 있는 연주자와

그러니 이노래에 대한 흑인들의 폭발적인 인기를 알수 있습니다.

이노래가 가지는 또 하나의 의미는 최초의 Soul로 기록됐다는 것입니다.

그동안 R&B로 알려졌던 흑인노래가 팝의 요소를 가미하며

Soul로 변신을 했는데 이노래를 그 효시로 보는 것입니다.
