에펠탑 위에서의 키스남, 그를 찾으라

로코 드라마 같은 얘기 하나입니다.

캘리포니아에 사는 여고생  Juliana Corrales의 얘기입니다.

그녀는 오래전부터 에펠탑 위에서 남자와 키스하는 장면을 꿈꾸어 왔습니다.

그러다 작년 6월 친구들과 파리를 방문하게 됐습니다.

그리고 에펠탑 위에서 처음본 남자와 키스를 함으로써 꿈을 실현했습니다.

하지만 멋진 그 남자의 연락처 받아놓는 것을 잊었습니다.

그래서 트위터에 비디오를 올려놓으며 전세계 내트즌들에게 도움을 청했습니다.

이는 18000번 이상 공유되었고 백만번 이상의 뷰어를 기록했습니다.

I went on a school trip to Paris for 12 days with my 3 best friends, ever since my amazing parents surprised me with the news, I made a pact with myself that I would kiss someone on the Eiffel Tower. 나는 베프 세명과 12일동안 파리로 수학여행을 갔습니다. 멋진 우리 부모님께서 그소식(?)을 알려주셨기 때문에 에펠탑에서 누군가가와 키스하겠다는 결심을 했습니다. 'So it was the final day of the trip, the 6th of January, and we were on the top of the Eiffel Tower, and I was looking for someone to kiss. 그래서 여행 마지막 날인 1월6일 우린 에펠탑에 올라 키스할 사람을 찾았습니다. Unfortunately there wasn’t many options because there was no one my age who didn’t come with their girlfriend. 안타깝게도 많은 선택이 없었습니다. 왜냐하면 내 나이 또래 남자중에는 여친과 함께 오지 않은 사람이 없었기 때문입니다. 'But luckily my friend saw Gavin and we followed him around the top level and she tapped on his shoulder and then backed away to let me speak. 운좋게 친구가 Gavin을 보았고 우리는 그를 따라 꼭데기까지 올라갔습니다. 그리고 친구가 그의 어깨를 두드리고 빠지며 내게 말을 걸도록 했습니다.   Somehow I managed to make concise sentences and I asked him if he wouldn’t mind kissing me. 나는 짧은 문장으로 어렵게 얘기하며 내게 키스해줄수 있냐고 물었습니다. I explained to him about my pact , and to my dismay he actually agreed to kiss me. 그에게 스스로 한 약속을 설명해 주었더니 놀랍게도 키스해주겠다고 동의했습니다. 'So we kiss and it was pretty cool and my friends were all cheering and we were all laughing, and then his mom yells “ that’s my son, kiss again so I can get a picture” and of course I happily oblige because he is GORGEOUS and then we kissed again.' 그렇게 해서 우리는 키스를 했으며 너무 멋있었습니다. 그리고 친구들은 모두 소리를 지르며 웃었습니다.   그때 그의 엄마가 “그애는 내 아들이야, 다시 키스하거라 사진 찍어줄게”라고 소리질렀습니다. 물론 나는 행복하게 그분의 명령을 따랐습니다. 그가 너무 멋있었기 때문입니다. 그래서 우리는 다시 키스를 했습니다.

It was only after the romantic moment that Juliana realised

she had no way of contacting Gavin and took to Twitter to ask for help.

그런 로맨틱한 순간이 지나가버린 후에야 그녀는 Gavin에게 연락할 방법이

없다는 것을 깨닫게 되었고 트위터에 도움을 요청하게 됐습니다.

Kind-hearted well-wishers from around the world sprung into action,

trawling Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to track down Juliana's Gavin.

따뜻한 마음과 모든게 잘 이루어지기를 희망하는 사람들이 전세계에서 (그녀의)Gavin을

찾기위해 행동으로 나서 인스타그램과 트위터 그리고 페이북을 샅샅이 뒤졌습니다.

However they were heartbroken when it emerged that he might

have a girlfriend, with dozens sharing posts about their disappointment.

하지만 그에게 여친이 있을 것이라는 사실이 알려지면서 그들은 낙심했습니다.

그들중 수십명은 실망감을 포스트하기도 했습니다.

Despite the initial excitement, Juliana took the plot twist in her stride

and thanked Twitter for their kindness, adding: 'So I saw that u guys

found Gavin hahah and whether he has a girlfriend or not, I would just like

to thank everyone for finding him and being so supportive.

처음 흥분이 수포로 돌아갔지만 Juliana는 어긋난 사랑얘기를 나름대로

받아들이며 트위터를 통해 모든 사람들에게 감사한다고 했습니다.

여러분 모두가 Gavin을 찾아냈다는 것을 압니다, 호호호.

그에게 여친이 있던 없던 상관없이 여러분들이 그를 찾아주신 것과

나를 그토록 지원해준것에 대해 감사합니다.
